Bloomfield Investment Corporation has carried out the first financial rating of Coris Bank International Côte d’Ivoire and has decided to assign a long-term rating of A+ (Investment Rating) with a stable outlook; and in the short term, the rating of A1- (Investment rating) with a stable outlook.
CBI-CI, the second banking subsidiary created in 2012 by the Coris Bank International Group, occupies the 7th place in the market in terms of Total Balance Sheet with a network (in 2021) of 19 branches, mainly thanks to the relevance of its strategy, the continuous development of its customer portfolio through new entries in the main economic sectors, the Bank’s participation in structured financing and the offer of new digital products and services.
The Bank’s overall performance, which is improving, is reflected in a net profit which rose from 2,090 million CFA francs in 2016 to 15,147 million CFA francs in 2020, illustrating the good capacity of management to achieve its objectives. strategic and operational.
In addition, good overall risk and liquidity management, as well as good control of general operating expenses, support the quality of the Bank’s fundamentals.
Although the conquest of a quality clientele, the desire to take advantage of the economic dynamism of countries through participation in large-scale infrastructure projects, are elements that underpin its commercial approach, the portfolio remains relatively focused on institutional clients and public administration.
In this context, controlling changes in the transformation ratio, which is also improving, remains a challenge for the bank.
